It was a beautiful night for Providence Cub Scout Pack 30 to earn their belt loops in fishing. Mr. Sharp Brown generously hosted the pack at his farm, and the scouts made good use of his pond full of bass, bream, and bluegill.
Siblings were welcome — in fact, the winning bass was caught by the sister of a scout!
Many thanks to farm owner Mr. Brown, who tended the fire for the s’mores and, as it turns out, can tell some mighty fine fish stories! Also, thanks to former Providence parent Mark Newton for arranging the expedition, and to Marialyce Gradeck for the pictures. (Click here to see a few more.)
